ASA code support for Control-D for z/OS reports when sending reports to Control-D/Delivery Server
When sending ASA code reports to Control-D/Delivery Server, there are special considerations.
When sending the reports to the Control-D/Delivery Server is done with transformation to PDF:
The reports must be sent with CONVERT TO ASCII = L and SEND WITH CC = Y (all ASA codes are sent) or C (Page Break + ASA codes).
The transformer_to=txt parameter must exist in the Control-D/Delivery Server attributes.
A report clique must be used. Define report_clique=report-clique-name in the Control-D/Delivery Server attributes. A report clique with the report‑clique-name must be defined in the Control-D/Delivery Server Desktop. It should resemble the sample MF_ASCII report clique, with Print Control Char=ASA, Page Delimiter String=1, and Page Delimiter Pos=1.
When sending to LPR or File System, in a Unicode installation, target_encoding=latin1 or the correct local encoding must be defined, since the default target encoding for Unicode text reports is UTF8, which usually is not supported by the printers.
When sending to LPR or File System, the report clique must have also Add Page Delimiter Hex = FF for the printer to print separate pages.
This parameter is supported in Control-D/Delivery Server version 3.6.00 with Fix Pack 6 or version 3.7.01, or later.
