Control-D subscription for report notification and delivery
Control-D/WebAccess end-users can subscribe to specific reports, either receiving e-mail notification when the reports are ready or receiving the actual reports by e-mail or printout. Subscriptions can be defined either by the end-user with Control-D/Webaccess or by the administrator with the CTVUPINV utility for Control-D reports. Control-D/Delivery Server is used for report and notification delivery.
Ensure that the text of notification message in the $$CTDSAT member of the CTD OUTPARMS library is appropriate. Variables, such as %REPORT%, %JOBNAME%, %RECIPIENT%, and %INDEXV% (for index report), can be used in the notification message.
To process subscribed reports, do one of the following:
Submit the default PRINT mission with the name defined by the PRINT_NOTIFY parameter in the CTDSPARM member. Until the PRINT mission processes these reports, they will be in WAITING FOR PRINT status.
Define a DO PRINT mission in the Decollation mission definition and set MUST=S (for full reports) and TYPE=A/E/S (for index reports). (The default PRINT mission defined in the CTDSPARM member is ignored for these reports.) Submit this PRINT mission.
The notification mechanism does not function in Immediate printing mode.
To re-process subscription or notification for an existing report, the end user must order Deferred printing using the 'U.P' screen and specify the SENDREP override destination parameter. The print mission must be activated to process all corresponding subscriptions for this report.
