The IOA Logical Terminal Emulator can be employed in conjunction with VM/VTAM. This facility allows the user to establish a VTAM session without leaving CMS. A session can be established in this way with the IOA VTAM monitor running under MVS. At the end of the session, the user remains at the VM/CMS machine.
In addition, the user’s sign-on procedure "can be taught" this option and, on future invocations, can automatically repeat the option. For additional information on this subject, see the IOA chapter in the INCONTROL for z/OS Installation Guide: Installing.
