When a job starts on time, if the job or application name (or both) appears in the table and the current time is within the time-from and time-to range, the 'Job-Init' service class is assigned to the job (if column 42 is not set to blank).

When a job starts after its DUE-IN time, if the job or application name (or both) appears in the table and the current time is within the time-from and time-to range, the 'AftDueIn' service class is assigned to the job (if column 51 is not set to blank).

When a job is executing after its DUE-OUT time, if the job or application name (or both) appears in the table and the current time is within the time-from and time-to range, the job is reset to the 'AfDueOut' service class (if column 60 is not set to blank).

If the job name mask (but not the application name mask) is present, a match will be attempted on the job name mask only. If the application name mask (but not the application name mask) is present, a match will be attempted on the application name mask only. If both job name and application name masks are present, a match will be attempted on both.

In addition to searching for a job name or application name match, the current time must be within the time-from to time-to range in order to be considered a 'matched entry'. In other words, there may be several entries for the same job name or application name (or both) with different time-from to time-to ranges.

The first job name or application name mask match in the current time range, that is, within the current time in the time-from to time-to range, stops the search. At this first matching occurrence, Control-M does not continue looking through the table for additional matches. Based on this rule, more specific entries should be placed on the top of the table and less specific, general entries should be placed on the bottom of the table.

This processing is only done for non-NJE jobs. For NJE jobs, since the WLM environment may be completely different on the remote system, service class setting is not performed.

The ROUTE and E (RESET) operator command will be used if Control-M cannot tell whether the job is running on the current system or on another system in the same SPOOL. (The ROUTE command deals with all systems in the SYSPLEX.) An informational message will be sent to IOA LOG, to indicate the service class setting.

If Control-M can determine that the job is running on the current system, Control-M issues the IWMRESET WLM macro. If successful, a message is sent to IOA LOG to indicate the service class setting. If WLM returns with an error response, Control-M sends an error message to IOA LOG describing the service class and the error return and reason code.

Job (not STC) names are unique within this SPOOL, so using the ASID parameter on the E operator command is not necessary.
