CONNECT DIRECT Cross Installation supports a single CONNECT DIRECT address space which communicates with multiple IOA installations, including different releases of IOA, simultaneously. This support also provides for a complete and seamless upgrade path from one IOA release to another vis-a-vis the CONNECT DIRECT‑IOADDC interface (see explanation below of the IOADDC routine).
