Customize the New Day Procedure

The New Day procedure normally performs a cleanup of the AJF, the History AJF, and the IOA Conditions file automatically. The criteria by which jobs and conditions are deleted from the AJF, the History AJF, and the IOA Conditions file are illustrated in the CTMFRM program, described in Programs Called During New Day Processing. The user may change the default actions of CTMFRM by coding SELECT and IGNORE statements in the DAFRMIN DD statements, in both the main step and the CLRHIST step of the CTMTDAY procedure. The DD statements DAFRMIN reference members IGNORE and IGNORHST in the main and CLRHIST steps respectively. For further information, see SELECT and IGNORE Statements. Using these SELECT and IGNORE statements, the user can cause jobs and conditions that normally would be deleted to be retained, and vice versa.
