Under normal circumstances, the CMEM monitor is not shut down. However, CMEM shutdown may be necessary for the following reasons:
In this case, the monitor must be immediately restored to minimize the impact of the shutdown on the work environment.
To stop and immediately restart the CMEM facility, replace the active CMEM monitor by starting a new CMEM monitor. For more information, see Replacing an Active CMEM Monitor.
When the monitor replacement method is not applicable, and a complete shutdown is required, issue one of the following operator commands:
F CTMCMEM,STOP |
P CTMCMEM |
CMEM shuts down after a few minutes.
CMEM rules are never triggered for dataset events and step termination events caused by jobs that start when CMEM is down.
