The IOALSUM IOAENV source member (Summary table) contains a list of groups of modules about which level information can be issued by the SHOWGROUP modify command (see SHOWGROUP). The default group ID can be assigned by the DEFGROUP modify command, as shown in DEFGROUP. If there is a need to update the table it should be copied into the IOA PARM library and changed there. The IOALSUM table can be refreshed dynamically by using the REFRSUMMARY modify command (REFRSUMMARY) without need to recycle an address space.

Up to 28 modules can be specified in one group. The group ID is an arbitrary three‑character string. At least one IOA group with a unique ID must be coded in the IOALSUM Summary table.
