ECSA required for the control structure of a single IOA Variable Database

The amount of ECSA required to allocate the navigation control structure for a single IOA Variable database is determined by multiplying 16, which is the number of bytes of control information, times the number of rows defined in the database, times the number of columns defined in the database.
