Activate this feature by changing the MODE statement in the IOAPARM member to MODE=SUBAGENT. This can be performed through ICE in the following step:
IOA Customization
Major step: 1 IOAPARM Post-Installation
Minor Step: 3 Specify parameters for "Mail" options
Additionally, specify valid values for the following SNMP parameters in IOAPARM:
host is the hostname or IP address of the host where the Master Agent runs Default: 127.0.0.1 (the local host)
port is the SNMP port on which the Master Agent listens for SNMP requests Default: 161
community is the community name defined in the Master Agent setup Default: public
When a MODE=SUBAGENT statement is specified in the IOAPARM member then all other NICK and GROUP statements in the SNMPDEST member are ignored.
If MODE is not set to SUBAGENT then it must be set to any other non-blank value, such as MODE=ALONE.
You can switch between activating and deactivating SUBAGENT MODE by changing the MODE parameter and recycling the corresponding monitor(s). If Control-M is used for sending SNMP traps, stop Control-M monitor and then restart it. If Control-O is used for sending SNMP traps, start a new Control-O monitor without stopping the currently running Control-O monitor.
