To enter the IOA Variable Database facility, select option IV in the IOA Primary Option menu. The IOA Variables entry panel is displayed.

Note: Control‑O installations can access an unlimited number of databases. Control‑M and other INCONTROL product installations can access the IOAVAR database only (even if other databases are displayed).
An asterisk (*) can be used as a mask character in the DATABASE field of this screen.
When entering either the List of Databases screen or the Values of Database screen, you can either enter as a regular user or an administrator, as follows:
Note: Security module IOASE42 prevents regular users from accessing the IOA Variables Database facility as an administrator. For more information on this security module, see the INCONTROL for z/OS Security Guide.
In ADMIN mode, only those variables actually written to the IOA Global Variable database are displayed. For example, if using the SET command of the Control-M CTMAPI utility, you prepare a global variable to be written to the database, without subsequently issuing the CKP command, such a variable is not displayed in ADMIN mode.
