@FIELD

@FIELD is a line type used to start a new field in the current line in the current display format. The format for an @FIELD line is

where

• name is the field to be displayed. Valid names are listed in the description of the display types of each product.
• data indicates that constant data to be displayed. This is useful, for example, for displaying a field descriptor. Either NAME or DATA must be present, but not both.
• ln displays the length of the information of the field specified in the NAME parameter, or the display length of the constant information in the DATA parameter. If the actual information provided by NAME or DATA is too short, it is padded with blanks on the right. If the information is too long, it is truncated on the right.
• pref is the prefix to be added to the left of the displayed data specified by NAME or DATA.
• KANJI specifies if Kanji (Japanese writing using Chinese characters) input is allowed. Valid values: Y (Yes) and N (No). N is the default.
• ofst is the offset in the data field from which data is taken for screen display purposes. This mechanism allows the user to split a long data field between several display fields (possibly on several different lines). ofst is the offset from which to start.
• EDIT indicates whether the user can change the displayed field. Valid only if NAME is specified. If Y (Yes), the user can change the displayed field. If N (No), the field is displayed in a protected form. It cannot be modified. N is the default.
• DEFAULTEDIT indicates whether the user is able to edit an insert record. Valid only if NAME is specified. If Y (Yes), for an Insert record, the field is displayed so that the user can enter initial information for it. If N (No), the field is displayed in a protected (cannot be modified) form. N is the default.
• dflt is the default value for the field in an insert line. Valid only if NAME is specified. The data specified is displayed in the field. If DFLT is omitted, the initial value of the field is blank.
• PROFILE=Y/N indicates whether the value of the field (when exiting the Online environment) is saved in the user's profile member and used at the next invocation of the environment. The field name is used as the Profile Variable name. Optional. Valid values: Y (Yes), N (No). Default: N

• AFORCE forces an attribute character before the field. If Y (Yes), forces the character. If N (No), does not force the character. N is the default.
• EXPAND=YES enables a field to expand to its largest possible width based on a 132-column (Type 5) terminal.
