Delaying Job Submission

In certain cases, you may want to delay job submission for some time. For such cases, you can specify an amount of time to keep jobs in WAIT SUBMISSION status using a special AutoEdit variable.

The AutoEdit variable that you use for this purpose is named %%CTM_PRE_SUB_WAIT. You specify this local variable in DO SET or SET VAR statements of a job. Set this variable to one of the following values:

• nnnnS — number of seconds between 0 and 9999
• nnnnM — number of minutes between 0 and 9999

The default is 0, that is, no delay in job submission.
