Control-M Data Assurance Installation
The Control-M Data Assurance add-on contains two separate components, as follows:

Data Assurance Plug-in: Installed on a Windows or Linux Agent that meets the system requirements and connects to one or more data sources, such as a database or directory of CSV files. You can install the Data Assurance plug-in on multiple Agents and connect each Data Assurance plug-in to the Data Assurance Server. You must install the Data Assurance plug-in before you can install the Data Assurance Server, as described in Installing the Data Assurance Plug-in.

Data Assurance Server: Installed on a Linux host that meets the system requirements, and analyzes the data source data from the Data Assurance plug-in. You must install this component after you install the Data Assurance Plug-in, as described in Installing the Data Assurance Server.

Installing the Data Assurance Plug-in
This procedure describes how to install the Data Assurance plug-in on a Windows or Linux Agent. This plug-in enables you to connect to one or more data sources. You can also install the Data Assurance plug-in on multiple Agents and connect each Data Assurance plug-in to the Data Assurance Server.
Before You Begin

Verify that you meet the system requirements, as described in Data Assurance System Requirements.

Download the installation package, as described in Obtaining Control-M Installation Files.
Begin
-
Log in as an administrator to the Control-M/Agent account.

Run one of the following commands to start the interactive installation:

Linux: <Installation_Directory>/Linux-x86_64/setup.sh

Windows: <Installation_Directory>\windows_x86_64\setup.exe

In the Data Assurance Server host field, type the Data Assurance Server hostname.

Follow the on-screen instructions until the installation is complete.

Do the following to start up the Data Assurance plug-in:

Navigate to the following directory:
Linux: <Agent_Home>/ctm/cm/WDA/exe/
Windows: <Agent_Home>\ctm\cm\WDA\exe\

Run the following command:

Linux: cm_container start
-
Windows: cm_container.cmd start
A confirmation message appears.

Log in to Control-M Web and, from the Plug-ins tab in the Configuration domain, verify that the Data Assurance plug-in appears.
If the plug-in does not appear, from the Control-M/Server host, run the following command:
ctmgetcm -HOSTID <Data_Assurance_Plug-in_Hostname> -APPLTYPE ** -ACTION get

Installing the Data Assurance Server
This procedure describes how to install the Data Assurance Server on a Linux host. The Data Assurance Server analyzes the data source data that is collected by the Data Assurance plug-in.
Before You Begin

Verify that you meet the system requirements, as described in Data Assurance System Requirements.

Download the installation package, as described in Obtaining Control-M Installation Files.
Begin

Log in as an administrator to the Linux account.

Run the following command:
<Installation_Directory>/Linux-x86_64/setup.sh
The Data Assurance Server installation window appears.

Confirm or redefine the Listening Port field, and ensure that your firewall administrator adds this port to the list of trusted port numbers.

Complete the remaining fields with the required Control-M/EM and Data Assurance Server PostgreSQL database information, and follow the on-screen instructions until the installation is complete.
You can now get started with Data Assurance.
Uninstalling the Data Assurance Server
This procedure describes how to uninstall the Data Assurance Server from a Linux host.
Begin

Log in to the host where Data Assurance Server is installed.

Navigate to the following directory:
<Data_Insurance_Server_Installation_Folder>/BMCINSTALL/uninstall/DRL9A.9.0.22.100

Run the following command:
./uninstall.sh
The Control-M Data Assurance Server is successfully removed from your host.
Uninstalling the Data Assurance Plug-in from a Linux Agent
This procedure describes how to uninstall the Data Assurance plug-in from a Linux Agent.
Begin

Log in to the host where Control-M/Agent is installed.

Shut down the Agent, as described in Shutting Down the Agent.

Navigate to the following directory:
<Data_Insurance_Server_Installation_Folder>/BMCINSTALL/uninstall/DRAV8.9.0.22.100

Run the following command:
./uninstall.sh
The Control-M Data Assurance plug-in is successfully removed from your host.
Uninstalling the Data Assurance Plug-in from a Windows Agent
This procedure describes how to uninstall the Data Assurance plug-in from a Windows Agent.
Begin

From the Start menu, select Control Panel.

Double-click Programs and Features.
-
Select Control-M Data Assurance and click Uninstall.

Click OK to continue.
The Control-M Data Assurance plug-in is successfully removed from your host.
