Intercepting Oracle E-Business Suite requests and request sets

The Control-M for Oracle E-Business Suite Interception utility enables you to intercept concurrent requests and request sets submitted in Oracle E-Business Suite and to release and monitor them through Control-M.

You can use the Interception utility to intercept requests and request sets that are in On Hold status in Oracle E-Business Suite. The Interception utility creates a mirror-image of the intercepted job in Control-M. After which, the intercepted job is released in Oracle E-Business Suite and monitored from Control-M using the mirror image.

To use the Interception utility:

  1. Create the required interception rule file.

The interception utility acts in accordance to the details in the rule file. For more information, see Interception rule file.

  2. In Oracle E-Business Suite, assure that the requests and request sets to be intercepted are in On Hold status.

You can place a request and request set to On Hold status by using the Oracle E-Business Suite Concurrent: Hold Requests profile. For more information about configuring profiles, see the Oracle E-Business Suite System Administrator Guide.

  3. Type the Intercept command:
