Changing the HTTP Authentication encryption key

This procedure describes how change to the HTTP authentication encryption key in Control-M for Web Services.

Before you begin

Ensure you do the following:

• Control-M for Web Services jobs are not running.
• Log in to the Agent machine where Control-M for WJM is running.

To change the HTTP Authentication encryption key:

1. In the Agent data directory, create a new empty wjmkey.dat file, if it does not already exist.
2. Do one of the following:
   • Windows: Open a Windows command prompt and type the following command:

     ctmcfg –agent <agent name> -table wjmkey –action update –parameter BFKEYNEW –value <encryption key> -crypt Y

   • UNIX: Open a UNIX session under the agent ID where Control-M for Web Services is installed and type the following command:

     ctmcfg –table wjmkey –action update –parameter BFKEYNEW –value <encryption key> -crypt Y

3. Execute the stopwscm command to refresh Control-M for Web Services in one of the following directories:
   • Windows: <Agent>\<instance>\cm\WS\exe
   • UNIX: <Agent>/cm/WS/exe
