Control-M Web Services API is provided with a default self-signed certificate. The certificate is used to verify that a public key belongs to a specific company or individual.
The following topics describe how to change, update the SSL server alias, update the Web Services API account utility and web service client, create a new certificate, configure the HTTP server optimization and define the Web Services host name and API path.
NOTE: This section is only relevant if you defined accounts using the HTTPS transport protocol. Control-M Web Services API is delivered with default private and public keys and certificates that are not unique. BMC Software recommends that you change these keys and certificates. BMC Software is not responsible for damage or liability associated with the use of any keys or certificates.
