Creating a CA Certificate and Key

This procedure describes how to create a CA certificate and Key.

Begin

1. Run one of the following commands:
   • UNIX:

     em bmcpython $HOME/ctm_em/bin/generate_ssl_certificate.py generate --rootKey <ca_key_path> --rootCert <ca_cert_path>

   • Windows:

     "%EM_HOME%\bin\generate_ssl_certificate.py" generate --rootKey <ca_key_path> --rootCert <ca_cert_path>

     bmcpython

2. Copy the CA certificate, and place it in /home/dbauser/ctm_em/ini/ssl on all servers in the Workflow Insights environment.
3. Update the CA certificate in the Tomcat configuration, as described in Updating the CA Certificate.

   The CA Certificate and Key are created.
