Testing a job type

This procedure describes how to test a job type before deployment which enables you to debug execution steps and GUI before deploying to Control-M.

To test a job type:

1. From the toolbar, click Test.

   The Test Job Type window appears.

2. From the Test Definition section, in the Test on field, from the dropdown list select the host where you want to run the job type.
3. In the Connection Profile and Job Properties fields, type the values you want to test.

   NOTE: If you have a Text Box with Load Button parameter, the load button is for display purposes only and cannot be used to load values. The value must be typed manually in the text box.

4. To start the test, click .

   The Test Results appear.
