Viewing a job's spool

This procedure describes how to view a specific SAP job's spool. You can view a specific spool based on the account name, SAP job count and SAP job name.

Before you begin

Do one of the following:

• Windows: Open a new DOS prompt window.
• UNIX: Ensure that you are logged on as the Control-M/Agent user.

To view a job's spool:

1. Type one of the following commands and press enter:
   • UNIX:

     ctmr3req -SAPR3-ACTION get_spool -SAPR3-ACCOUNT <account_name>

     -SAPR3-JOBCOUNT <job_count> -SAP3-JOBNAME <job_name>

   • Windows:

     <Agent home directory>\CM\SAP\EXE\ctmr3req -SAPR3-ACTION get_spool

     -SAPR3-ACCOUNT <account_name> -SAPR3-JOBCOUNT <job_count> -SAP3-JOBNAME <job_name> [-Agent <agent_name>]

   A List of steps for job appears.

2. Type a number for a step from the list and press enter.

   A List of spools for step appears.

3. Type a number from the List of Spools and press enter.

   Follow the on screen instructions to view the next page, return to the list of spools or to quit the command.

   The ctmr3req utility used to view a job's spool, using the STAR account, for the prog1 program:

   D:\Program files\BMC Software\CONTROL-M Agent\David\ctmr3req -SAPR3-
