Monitoring a PeopleSoft process or job

This procedure describes how to monitor the status of an ordered job or process in Control-M Workload Automation.

Before you begin

Ensure the following:

• Ordered a job in Defining a Control-M for PeopleSoft job
• Completed the steps in Setting up a Viewpoint in Using Control-M Workload Automation.

To monitor a PeopleSoft process or job:

1. In Viewpoint, double click on the PeopleSoft job.

   The PeopleSoft dialog box appears.

   If you click on the PeopleSoft job, the job properties pane appears on the right. This enables you to view the job’s details, waiting info, script, log, output, statistics, documentation, and services the job belongs to. See: Analyzing active jobs in Using Control-M Workload Automation for more details.

2. When a job or process is running, from the General tab, in the What: field, click to see how the job or process is progressing.

   If there is no data, an error message appears and you must close and reopen the Properties pane.

3. To change scheduling, prerequisites and actions, click Modify Job.
