Before you can define a Control-M for Informatica job in Control-M Workload Automation, you need to create a connection profile in the Control-M Configuration Manager, which enables you to connect to the required Informatica server.
A connection profile contains the connection parameters to a specified Informatica server, such as Web Services Hub host name, Web Services Hub port, Repository, Power Center domain, Integration Service, username, and password. By adding a connection profile to the Control-M Configuration Manager, you enable Control-M for Informatica users to connect to the required Informatica server with only the connection profile name.
Users then can run a job without having to provide authentication details every time they connect to the Informatica server.
The following procedures describe how to create, edit, delete, test, copy, and export a connection profile in the Control-M Configuration Manager.
