Importing an SSL certificate

This procedure describes how to import an SSL certificate on Windows and UNIX, which enables you to use SSL to encrypt the connection to an MSSQL database.

To import an SSL certificate:

1. Open a command prompt window.

   NOTE: If you are using Windows, open the command line as an Administrator.

2. Navigate to the following directory:
   • Windows: cm\db\exe
   • UNIX: cm/db/exe
3. Type the following command:
   • Windows: import_certificate.cmd <aliasname> <certificatepath>
   • UNIX: import_certificate.sh <aliasname> <certificatepath>

   A verification message appears, the certificate was imported successfully.

4. Restart Control-M for Databases.
