Restarting the Control-M for Databases service

This procedure describes how to restart the Control-M for Databases process, which enables you to reinstall, upgrade, change port numbers, or run system maintenance on the Control-M for Databases process.

To restart the Control-M for Databases service:

1. Navigate to the following directory:

   <Control-M Agent_Home_Dir>\Default\CM\DB\exe

2. Type the following command:

   ctmdbcontainer stop

   The Control-M for Databases process restarts automatically when a Control-M for Databases job is submitted or Control-M Configuration Manager action is performed.
