Validating a Control-M Messaging API account

This topic describes how to validate an account in the Control-M Messaging API.

To validate an account:

1. Do one of the following:
   • Windows: From All Programs, highlight Control-M Web Services and Messaging API and click API for Messaging Account Management.
   • UNIX: Navigate to the installation directory, and run bin/ctmwsapiacc.

   The Control-M Messaging API - Messaging Account Management dialog box appears.

2. From the Control-M Messaging API - Messaging Account Management dialog box, highlight the account you want to create and do one of the following:
   • Click .
   • From the Tools menu, click Validate
3. If the test completes successfully, the account validates.
4. Click OK.

   NOTE: For TIBCO type accounts, if the account validates successfully, the following error message appears:

   javax.naming.OperationNotSupportedException: Not supported
