Exporting a Control-M for Web Services connection profile
This procedure describes how to export a connection profile from one Control-M/Agent to another Control-M/Agent, where Control-M for Web Services is installed.
To export a Control-M for Web Services connection profile:
From the Control-M Configuration Manager, select Control-M for Web Services on the host that you want to manage, right-click and select WSConnection Profile Management.
The Control-M for Web Services Connection Profile Management dialog box appears.
NOTE: If the Cannot send parameters to WS CM Extension error message appears, do the following:
Open the <Agent>\data\wsprofile.dat and set the WSHOSTNAME to a fully qualified hostname or IP address. This often happens in an environment where the Agent is a multi-homed system.
If the problem persists, check if the port number for the WSPORTNUM parameter is not already used by another application on the Agent machine and change if necessary.
Select the connection profile that you want to export, and click .
From the Control-M/Server name drop-down list, select the Control-M/Server that contains the Control-M/Host, where you want to export the connection profile.
From the Control-M/CM Host Name drop-down list, select the Control-M/Host that you want to export the connection profile to.
Click OK.
The Export Connection Profile dialog box appears.
In the Connection Profile Name field, enter a name for the exported connection profile.
If the test completed successfully, the connection profile is validated and you can now define a Web Services job, as described in Web Services job definition. If the test failed, review the error message and test it again.
