Defining a Control-M for WJM job

This procedure describes how to define a Control-M for WJM job, which enables you to run WJM jobs and reports on an WJM server.

Before You Begin

Ensure that you have met the following requirements:

To define a Control-M for WJM job:

  1. From the Connection Profile field, click Load.

The Connection Profile Selection dialog box appears.

  2. Select the connection profile that you want to use to run an WJM job or report, and click OK.

The Connection Profile field is set.

  3. In the Search path field, click Browse.
  4. Navigate to the job or report that you want to run, and click Open.

The Search path, Location, and Type fields are populated, and the associated fields appear as follows:

  5. For each parameter, type a value, as described in Parameter types.
  6. In the Output Handling area, do the following:
    1. In the Output formats field, accept the default output format from WJM or click Edit, and select an output format.

If you are generating a job, you cannot override the value in the Output formats field.

    2. In the Output delivery field, click Edit and select one or more of the following report distribution options:
      • Save Report: Distributes the report to a WJM server in the default location, or you can select the As a report view option and click Browse to specify a different location on the WJM server
      • File System: Specifies the name and location of the report on the file system and the action to take when saving a file that already exists

To use the File System option, verify that the Archive Location File System Root is defined on the WJM Server Global Configuration, and the File System Locations were defined.

      • Email Recipients: Specifies the recipients and contents of the email.

If you are running a WJM job definition, you cannot override the value in the Output delivery field.

Control-M for WJM uses WJM Run History to monitor the Control-M for WJM jobs. Ensure that the Number of occurrences parameter in the Report, ReportView and Job objects is sufficient for the number entities that you are running.
