Creating a connection profile

This procedure describes how to create a connection profile in silent mode, which enables you to define an AFT job in Control-M.

NOTE: To run the ctmaftacc utility on Windows, you need to open the command line as an administrator.

To create a connection profile:

• From a command line, type the required silent mode parameters, as described in Silent mode parameters.
  • The operation parameters (add, update, del) must follow the agent parameters on Windows. On UNIX, the operation parameter must appear first.
  • If you are running this utility on UNIX, all instances of backslash "\" must be doubled "\\".

  The following example defines a new connection profile called local_SFTP where host1 is the local computer and host2 is an SFTP server.

  The following example defines a new connection profile called FTP_SSL where host1 is a remote FTP server and host2 is a remote FTP over SSL/TLS server.
