Control-M for Advanced File Transfer (AFT) is an FTP/SFTP client that enables you to watch and transfer files from a local host to a remote host, a remote host to a local host, or a remote host to another remote host.
Control-M for AFT contains the following additional functionality:
Connect to an FTP/SFTP server by creating a connection profile with secure encryption (FTPS/SFTP), configure Control-M for AFT settings, generate SSH keys, authorize SSH hosts, and update mass connection profiles, as described in Connection profile management.
Define Control-M for AFT jobs by watching and transferring files to and from an FTP/SFTP server, rerun file transfers from point of failure, and monitor files in real-time, as described in File Transfer job definition.
Integrate Control-M for AFT jobs with other Control-M jobs into a single scheduling environment, as described in Control-M Workload AutomationControl-M User Guide.
Introduce all Control-M capabilities to Control-M for AFT, including advanced scheduling criteria, complex dependencies, quantitative and control resources, and variables, as described in the Control-M Workload AutomationControl-M User Guide.
