Synchronizing Control-M/Server in the CCM

This procedure describes how to synchronize Control-M/Server data formats in the Control-M/EM database from the old to the new data formats in product versions earlier than 9.0.18. Synchronization involves running the Elevate action in the Control-M/EM environment in the CCM.

NOTE: This procedure is required only after you migrate the Control-M/Server, and only if the target version is earlier than 9.0.18. If only the Control-M/EM was migrated and not the Control-M/Server, do not perform these steps.

Before You Begin

Verify that you have met the following requirements:

To synchronize Control-M/Server in Control Configuration Manager (CCM):

  1. Log in to the CCM from the target version of Control-M/EM.

NOTE: Do not change the version of the Control-M/Server component in the CCM, as this action performs the change automatically.

  2. From CCM, select the Control-M/Server that you want to synchronize with Control-M/EM and check the Version column.

NOTE: If the Control-M/Server version for the selected server is an earlier version than the version of the server that is actually installed (because the server was migrated), then continue with this procedure. Otherwise, there is no need to synchronize.

  3. From the CCM, select the Control-M/Server that was migrated, right-click and select Elevate.
  4. In the Version field, select the target version.
  5. Set the fields, as described in Elevate parameters, and then click OK.
  6. Select the Control-M/Server, right-click and select Properties.
  7. In the Control-M/Server Definitions dialog box, select Communication (on the left).
  8. In the Host field, change the value to the name of the server, and then click OK.
  9. Right-click the Control-M/Server and select Set to Managed, and then click OK in the displayed dialog box and message.
  10. Right-click Gateway and select Desired State > Up.
