Authorizing an SSH host

This procedure describes how to re-authorize an SSH host in the Control-M Configuration Manager, which ensures that you connect to the correct SFTP server. The host authorization key might change when you reinstall the SSH server, or if you are working in a cluster environment you need to authorize all nodes in the cluster before creating a connection profile. If the key changed or you did not authorize all cluster nodes, the next job fails, and the output reports HOST NOT AUTHORIZED.

Contact your SFTP server administrator to verify if the signature has changed.

To authorize an SSH host:

  1. From the Control-M Configuration Manager, select the Control-M Managed File Transfer on the host that you want to manage, right-click and select Authorize SSH Host.

The Authorize SSH Known Host dialog box appears.

  2. From the Host Name drop-down list, select the name of the host that you want to re-authorize.
  3. In the Port field, type the port of the host.
  4. Click Authorize.
  5. If you are working in a cluster environment and need to authorize multiple hosts in the cluster that have different signatures, do the following:
    1. Select Cluster.
    2. In the Cluster Name field, type the name of the host that you want to authorize.
    3. Click Addand in the Physical Host Name field, type the cluster logical name.
    4. Click Authorize.
  6. Click Close.

    The SSH host is authorized.
