Disabling the failover system
This procedure describes how to disable the failover system if you do not want to implement failover.
To disable the failover system:
- Disable mirroring on the primary Control-M/Server as follows:
- On the host computer, shut down the primary Configuration Agent and Control-M/Server by typing the following commands:
- In the Control-M/Server, enter the ctm_menu command.
The Control-M Main Menu appears.
- Type the number for the Database Mirroring option.
- Disable mirroring on the failover Control-M/Server as follows:
- On the host computer, shut down the failover Configuration Agent and Control-M/Server by typing the following commands:
- In the Control-M/Server, type the ctm_menu command.
The Control-M Main Menu appears.
- Type the number for Database Mirroring.
The Database Mirroring Menu appears.
- In the Database Mirroring Menu, type the number for Disable Failover.
- Start the primary Configuration Agent and Control-M/Server by entering the following commands on the host computer:
All processing is performed by the primary Control-M/Server on the primary database. The failover system is disabled.
