Converting a Control-M/Agent to a Remote Host

This procedure describes how to convert a Control-M/Agent to a remote host, which enables you to submit and execute jobs on the remote host without maintaining and updating a Control-M/Agent.

NOTE: If you want to convert a remote host to a Control-M/Agent, you need to delete the remote host component, and then install a Control-M/Agent on the host.

Before you begin

• Verify that there are not any jobs running on the Control-M/Agent.

To convert a Control-M/Agent to a remote host:

1. Shut down the Control-M/Agent.
2. Select the Control-M/Agent that you want convert, right-click and select Convert to Remote Host.
3. Define the remote host, as described in Defining a remote host.
