Migrating Control-M Workload Archiving

This procedure describes how to migrate Control-M Workload Archiving from an old version to version 9.0.00.

NOTE: Control-M Workload Archiving 8.0.00.800 or higher must installed to run the migration script.

Before you begin

• Successful completion of Control-M Workload Archiving installation
• Verify that there are no job definitions or Archive policies on the new version. The utility overwrites all previous data.

To migrate Control-M Workload Archiving:

1. From the new version, navigate to the following directory:

   <Control-M/EM home dir>\archive\CopyDataUtil

2. Run the following script:

   run_archive_migration

   The script migrates the data from the old version to version 9.0.00.

3. Activate all the required rules, and click Save, as described in Defining Workload Archiving policies.
