Methods for running utilities

Utilities can be run using the following methods:

• Control-M Configuration Manager: Utilities can be run from the Control-M Configuration Manager (CCM). For more information about using the CCM, see Introduction to Control-M Configuration Manager in Administration.
• Defining a job in Control-M client: Enables you to define a utility when defining a job in Control-M client.

  Many of the tasks performed by utilities can also be performed using the Job Properties pane in Control-M client. By including a utility command in the What field of a job processing definition, you can run the utility at a predetermined time or under a predetermined set of conditions without being present. For more information, see Creating a job in Using Control-M.

• Command line: Enables you to define a utility using the command line, as described in Command line utilities.
