Running the migrate_dc utility

This procedure describes how to run the migrate_dc utility, which enables you to migrate job processing definition formats in Control-M/EM from the format of an earlier version of Control‑M/Server to the format of the current version.

Before You Begin

Ensure that the destination Control-M/Server is defined in the CCM.

To run the utility:

1. Do one of the following:
   • UNIX: Log on to a Control-M/EM account.
   • Windows: Open a command prompt window where Control-M/EM is installed.
2. Enter either of the following commands:
   • To migrate Control-M/Server job processing definition formats from all database folders:

     migrate_dc -u <DBO name> -p <DBO password>

     -dc <data center>

     [-hostname <data center hostname>]

     [-port <data center port number>]

     -version {700|800|900}

   • To migrate Control-M/Server job processing definition formats from folder-to-folder:

     migrate_dc -u <DBO name> -p <DBO password>

     [-version {700|800|900}]

     [-old_dc <name1>][-new_dc <name2>]

     [-folder <Folder Name>]

     [-lib <Library Name>]
