Running the emreportcli utility

This procedure describes how to run the emreportcli utility, which enables the automation of the batch report execution process in a selected format.

To run the utility:

1. Open a command prompt window where Control-M/EM is installed.

   NOTE: For Windows client installations, open a command prompt window and navigate to the <EM Home>\Default\bin32 directory.

2. Enter one of the following command and press Enter.
   • emreportcli {-U <user> -P <password>) | -pf passwordFilename} -s <server host name> -arg <xml file name>
   • emreportcli {-u <user> -p <password> | -pf <password file>} -s <server host name>

     -template <templateName>

     [-template_path <template path>]

     -output_file_type EXCEL | EXCEL_DO | DOC | PDF | HTML | XML | CSV | TABBED | CONSOLE

     -output_file_path <output file path>

     [-param <name>=<value>]…

   The XML file name is the full path name of the input arguments file.

You can specify the user name and password on the command line, in a password file. For more details on the emreportcli utility see the following:
