Verifying JCL code in a job definition

This procedure describes how to verify JCL code in a z/OS job definition, which enables you to view and correct JCL code such as missing field values or other errors before running the job.

NOTE: JCL code verification is available only if the Control-M/Server was defined with the Discover option (not the Define option), as described in Defining a Control-M/Server component.

Before You Begin

• Ensure that you have completed Creating a Workspace.
• Ensure that you have completed Checking in a Workspace.
  If the Workspace is checked out, the Verify JCL option is disabled.

To verify JCL code in a job definition:

• In the Workspace, Analysis tab, select a z/OS job, and click .

  The JCL Verification Report appears in the Results pane.
