Connection profile management

Before you can define a Control-M for AFT job in Control-M Workload Automation, you need to create a connection profile in the Control-M Configuration Manager, which enables you to connect to the required AFT server.

A connection profile contains the connection parameters for both the source and destination hosts, such as hostname, port, communication protocols, username, and password. By adding a connection profile to the Control-M Configuration Manager, you enable Control-M for AFT users to connect to the required server with only the connection profile name. Users then can run a job without having to provide authentication details every time they connect to the server.
