Configuring Sybase database client

This procedure describes how to configure the Sybase database client and must be done by the site DBA.

To configure a Sybase database client:

1. Open the locales.dat file.
2. Change the C locale from iso_1 to utf8, as follows:

   locale = FRENCH, french, iso_1

   locale = fr, french, iso_1

   locale = fr_BE, french, iso_

   locale = C, us_english, utf8
