Control-M/Agent

This table list the Control-M/Agent utilities for communication, startup, and troubleshooting.

Utility Type	Description
ag_diag_comm	BMC recommends that you verify the ability of the agent computer to communicate with the primary Server computer and with all other authorized Server host computers.
Running the ag_ping utility	This utility verifies that Control‑M/Server is active on the Server computer connected to the agent computer.
Running the shagent utility	The shagent utility (UNIX only) checks that the p_ctmag and p_ctmat processes are running. It can be invoked only from the Control-M/Agent computer.
