Connecting to a different Control-M/EM server

This procedure describes how to connect to a different Control-M/EM server from the Workload Archiving server.

To connect to a different Control-M/EM server:

1. Type the following command:

   arc_update_connection -nsHost <hostName> -nsPort <portNumber> -guiServer <emServerName> -test

   Where:

   • <hostName> is the hostname of the Control-M/EM server
   • <portNumber> is the port number of the Control-M/EM server
   • <guiServer> is the name of the Control-M/EM GUI server that the Workload Archiving server connects to.
   • -test: optional
2. Start up the Workload Archiving server, as described in Starting up the Workload Archiving Server.

   This completes the connection process.
