Notes enable you to easily communicate with the web user. It is a method of communicating information regarding the request and its entities. For example, if a request requires modifications, you can return the request and add a note to the web user stating the necessary modifications.

If any notes remain in open status, and were not approved, when you check in the request, the check-in fails. You must approve any open notes before checking in a request to the database.
