Destination – Control-V Search Order

Control-V searches for a specified or default print destination in the following order and uses the first non-blank value that is found:

• DEST field of parameter OVERRIDE in the printing mission
• DEST parameter in the OUTPARMS library
• DEST field in the Print Option window (using option P in the User Report List screen)
• DEST field for a specific report in the Active or Permanent User Report list, depending on the SEARCH parameter destination in the report decollating mission
• If *SPOOL is specified in the DEST field of ON statement DEFAULTS:
  • The DEST field of PRINT/CDAM PARMS
  • The original SYSOUT destination
• If *SPOOL is specified in the JOB DEFAULTS DEST field:
  • The DEST field of PRINT/CDAM PARMS
  • The original SYSOUT destination

  Note: If any value other than *SPOOL is specified, the destination is applicable to unidentified reports only.

• DEF DEST field in the Recipient Tree
• DEST field of parameter PRINTER in the printing mission
• DEST of the printer defined in installation parameter CTDPARM
