Two JCL parameters control the printing of a report on AFP printers: FORMDEF and PAGEDEF. These parameters cannot be specified in a standard DD statement. Instead, they are specified in an OUTPUT statement. This output statement is referenced from the DD statement.
Support for PAGEDEF and FORMDEF in Control-V is implemented in the two ways described below – one is parallel to the original JCL approach (Using Specified OUTPUT Statement); the other is more flexible and easier to use (Using Specified PAGEDEF/FORMDEF).
