$SYSDATA Records

Parameters specified in the PRINT/CDAM PARMS field are stored in a $SYSDATA record in the Active User file. Even if several ON statements are specified for the same class or CDAM file, only one $SYSDATA record is built for each file. Therefore, only one set of PRINT/CDAM parameters is stored.

The following methods can be used to specify different PRINT/CDAM parameters for different users and reports: Define the users and reports under different ON statements. For ON DSN decollation, implement optional Wish WD1176 (see member IOADFLTS in the IOA DOC library). For ON CLASS decollation, specify an ON CLASS statement followed by an ON DSN statement referencing the CDAM file created by the first ON CLASS statement. These methods cause extra passes through the CDAM files but produce multiple $SYSDATA records containing the appropriate PRINT/CDAM parameters.
