General Information

Parameters MINIMUM and PDS are always used together and are never used with other Basic Scheduling parameters.

Parameter PDS identifies a library, and parameter MINIMUM specifies the minimum number of free tracks required by that library.

These parameters are intended for use (definition) in missions that issue a warning message if the minimum number of free tracks is not available.

If parameters MINIMUM and PDS are defined for a mission, the scheduling of the mission is not related to or dependent upon any date criteria. Instead, the mission is scheduled if the actual number of free tracks available in the specified library is below the specified minimum at time of daily mission ordering. The mission can then issue the appropriate warning.

Note: MINIMUM does not work with PDSE-type libraries because they always appear to be 100% full. MINIMUM only checks current extents.
