Report Decollating Mission Parameters

Report decollating mission parameters (including indexing instructions) are defined using the Online facility. Formatted screens guide the user through the definition process. For details about how to define these parameters online, see Report Decollating Mission Definition Facility.

Report decollating mission parameters are stored in libraries (partitioned datasets). For each job, one member is kept containing one or more report decollating missions for that job. A job can be decollated differently depending on when it is run. The report decollating mission contains indexing, migration, printing and backup instructions in addition to decollating instructions for each of the job’s reports.

Any number of libraries can be defined. For example, each group of users can have its own library. This allows users to define report decollating mission parameters for their jobs without any breach of security.

Although each report decollating mission is defined once, it can be updated by authorized users at any time.
