The LINECOUNT function returns the number of lines that exist in the data source processed by the specified EXECUTE block.
The number of lines is counted by Control-M/Analyzer when the EXECUTE block is executed. The line count of data sources specified by EXECUTE blocks that have not yet been processed is not known. Therefore, LINECOUNT returns 0 if the specified EXECUTE block has not been processed.
