Balancing Mission Definition parameters are stored in libraries (partitioned data sets). For each mission, one member is created containing one or more categories for that mission. For example, it is sometimes necessary to invoke the rule differently on a regular day than at the end of the month. The balancing mission contains scheduling instructions.
An unlimited number of libraries can be defined. For example, in an installation that employs distributed control, each group of users can have its own library. This allows users to define data balancing missions without any breach of security.
Although the balancing mission is defined once, it can be updated by authorized users at any time.
